Hi There
Welcome to my blog. Before I start bigging up the city of Edinburgh/Scotland/Other places I love I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Angus Coutts and I'm a freelance tour guide. I'm currently contracted with Sandeman's New Edinburgh and they're a lot of fun to work with. We have a great group of guides and get to show people around this wonderful city as an actual job!
Until fairly recently I was working for a big corporate bank. I was in a customer service role but still felt like I wasn't doing something with my life that I enjoyed or could make me happy for an extended period of time.
In November 2016, less than a year before my 30th birthday, I quit the bank. After a month of soul searching I happened upon the idea of becoming a tour guide. I love this city, I get on well with people and I could really enjoy doing this. So I did.
I'll be using this blog to chat about what's happening in the town, where I'm enjoying eating/drinking/making merry and looking at where else I've travelled in Scotland and Europe.
